Fencing with Purpose: Falkland Acreage Dog Enclosure for Debbie Z.

Overview

This custom acreage fence was built for Debbie Zelez in the Falkland area. She’s a thoughtful hostess who needed an ample, secure space for both her dogs and those of her many guests. Beyond the function, she required an enclosure that would complement the aesthetic of her dream home.

When a different fencing contractor referred her to Boundary Fencing, we recommended a page wire fence with agricultural rails instead of chain link, which is common for dog enclosures. It offered the safety she needed, but with a cleaner, more natural look that fit the beautiful surroundings. Page wire is an agricultural design that is more cost-effective than chain link and helps maintain the property’s overall aesthetic.

” We had had a couple of local companies come out and check out the site and see if they were interested in the job, and when they weren’t able to do it, they referred us to Boundary Fencing. They said you guys were the best! … If someone was on the fence about who to hire, I would say, “Get off that fence and hire Boundary Fencing.” They’re amazing. “

Project Overview

Client Name: Debbie Zelez
Project Name: Falkland Acreage: Debbie Z.
Project Type: Page Wire Dog Enclosure
Location: Rural Falkland
Size/Scope: 400ft
Timeline: 1.5 weeks
Completion Date: June 2025

Why the Project was Needed

Debbie needed a fence that would:

  • Keep her dogs and visitors’ dogs safe and contained
  • Prevent pets from chasing wildlife
  • Complement the style of the property
  • Be installed before Debbie’s guests arrived for a planned visit with their dogs

Project Highlights

An agricultural fence with rails was chosen instead of chain link to suit the style of the property.

Design guidance: Debbie had a general layout in mind, and we helped refine the route and solve design challenges on-site while contending with difficult terrain.

Finished look: Rails followed the grade for a smooth, even appearance, and the fence tied in neatly to the home.

Why It Stood Out

We were referred to this project by another fencing contractor who could not meet the homeowners’ needs. We were happy to help meet a tight timeline and content with challenging terrain. The client gave us about two weeks to complete the work, and we wrapped it up in a week and a half.

This project gave our team a chance to combine function and form. We installed an agricultural-style fence that didn’t just do the job but looked right on the land. It’s a good example of how even a simple dog enclosure can be thoughtfully planned and professionally finished.

Challenges and Solutions

Uneven ground and landscaping: We worked carefully across the terrain without disturbing an existing, well-landscaped yard.

Concrete tie-ins: The fence had to connect to the house and work around a sidewalk. We adjusted the layout and grade to keep the final result clean and cohesive.

Limited access for equipment: We used compact machines and worked efficiently to avoid damage or mess.

Results

  • Project completed ahead of schedule
  • Functional and visually clean dog enclosure
  • Positive experience for the client
  • A clean job site with minimal disruption to the property

Charitable Impact

As part of our monthly community support program, we donated $250 to the Turtle Valley Donkey Refuge in Debbie’s name.
